My objective is to bring to life the history and the landscape of Scotland and make you want to visit Scotland again and again.

I was born and educated in Bannockburn and Stirling, and now live in Edinburgh, so you could say that Scottish History courses through my veins.

As with my other colleagues it was through word of mouth that I was introduced to the Outlander series of books and I am delighted that the Television series is such a hit across the world.  I actually had the pleasure of meeting with Diana Gabaldon at a book event in Stirling Castle 2015 and meeting up with Graham McTavish, or, Dougal MacKenzie, at the Tartan Week parade in NYC in 2015.

The filming of the series has opened up our beautiful country to people who would never have even thought of Scotland as a destination and as a fully qualified Blue Badge Guide it is my pleasure to show you the great locations featured in the books and the series…and so much more. So what is keeping you?

Top Tip.  Take the time to mix with the locals in the pubs and take in some of the traditional music and even attend a Ceilidh.

If you only do one thing: Do a walking tour of Edinburgh and explore the closes and alleys, it is as if you have been transported to another century.
